Introductory concepts
Organizational structure
An organization is the context for your team’s work and access. Business units and brands organize that work within the organization. A brand represents an identity your team manages; a social account represents a connected profile or page on an external platform.
A provider connection establishes authorization with an external service. The account record identifies the destination your team uses. A configured provider and a connected account are separate states: credentials alone do not establish permission to publish.
- Organization: The active organizational context for your session.
- Business unit: A grouping used to organize brands and operational responsibility.
- Brand: The identity used to scope content, assets and account activity.
- Social account: A destination authorized through its provider connection.
Operational records
Work in OASIS is represented by records that move through a lifecycle. A post can begin as a draft, enter review and be scheduled for delivery. A conversation can be assigned to a teammate and escalated into a case. A report brings selected measurements into a shareable output.
- Campaigns connect related content and tracking links to an initiative.
- Assets contain files and associated metadata, rights and review information.
- Listening mentions are source observations that can be classified, analyzed and acted on.
- Cases capture ownership and resolution work for conversations requiring follow-up.
Scope, permissions and evidence
Organizational scope determines the business unit, brand and account context you are viewing. Permissions determine which actions your session can perform. A missing action can reflect an access requirement, a provider limitation or the state of the record.
Review status, delivery history and audit events help explain how work moved through the platform. Use these records when checking a workflow or diagnosing a failed action.
